The 18th edition of China International Hardware Show (CIHS 2018) was open at National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai on October 10th , 2018. It was co-organized by Koelnmesse and China National Hardware Association and displayed industry-leading products and technology to the global hardware industry. The show has a renowned reputation in the field as “the barometer of the hardware market, the weather-vane of the industrial development”, and it is also recognized as the second largest in the world and the biggest in Asia-Pacific professional hardware show. This year, the show with a net floor plan of 160,000 square meters was arranged with 6,500 booths, and with this international business platform, more than 3,300 exhibitors came to display their products under one roof. According to the organizers, around 50,000 visitors (including tool manufacturers, service providers, purchasers, locking system producers, etc.) came to visit this event. In addition to many top Chinese manufacturers, lots of international leading brands were also present. Importers and Exporters Association of Taipei and Taiwan Hand Tool Manufacturers' Association were both present, too. According to Fastener World’s correspondent onsite, date change might be the reason for reduced visitors this year, but there were still many traders came to inquire about hardware and fastener products.
