After a two-year scheme, Win Features Industry Co., Ltd. has launched the operation in the new plant located in Daya District, Taichung and the total area covers 2975.2 sqm. It is a marketing logistics and R&D center, including the R&D department and conducting the business of the orders placement, purchasing, packaging and design. Meanwhile, it operates in accordance with the production plant in Guangdong, China. Win Features expects to create competitive advantages to expand its market share through the cooperation between the two plants.

Ready to Challenge for European Market

With years of experience in the hand tool area, Win Features has a complete product line of hardware hand tools and electrical measurement tools, such as bits, magnetic sockets, power tool accessories, tool sets, and socket sets. Now, 70% of Win Features’s business focus on the OEM market and the U.S. is its main export destination. It is the main supplier for world famous tool companies, and that proves that its products are popular in the world. Andy Liu, Product Manager of Win Features, said that since its US market has been steady, after the new plant established in Taiwan, Win Features devotes in R&D works and expects to raise ODM orders. “Under the premise that the Europe put emphasis on the design and quality, the plant in Taiwan will focus on the European market to produce small amount but diverse types of products. On the other hand, the plant in China will center on the products in the mass production line.” Liu emphasizes that Win Features has already been ready to fulfill multiple demand of customers, including their lead times and budgets requirements.

Large Investment in New Plant Equipment

In order to keep leading the market, in addition to the complete inspection system, Win Features has continuously improved its production process. By renewing the machines, it intensifies its high yield rate competitiveness. Liu indicates that the company has invested a lot of money in the R&D and advanced production equipment. For instance, the purchase of the RP machine can rapidly create prototype models of products which are under development and design. It is no need to make molds and immediately enter samples confirmation process. Thus, the development time is significantly reduced. Moreover, its self-developed “Auto Bits Loading Machine” can facilitate the production process, saving time as well as cost. This machine model has acquired patents in Taiwan, the US and Germany. In terms of the R&D team, Win Features has ten specialized and full experienced employees in this field. The number of R&D employees occupies 1/5 of its employees in the Taiwan plant and that shows the company’s commitment to the R&D field.
