The Fastenal Company of Winona, MN, reported October sales were USD288.5 million, up 16.9% compared with the same month 2011. Daily sales increased 6.8% from the prior year, to USD12.5 million, and were 7.1% high than in January.

October manufacturing customer daily sales grew 9.1%. Non-residential construction customers grew 0.9%. Fastenal estimates Hurricane Sandy lowered its daily sales growth by 1.5 percentage points during the month of 2012.
