2013-07-01
The market in the Middle East may be unfamiliar to many companies, however, this region is gradually showing its potential of economic growth and demonstrates its power unable to be ignored. According to one market survey, the value of construction and development projects in UAE is estimated to reach USD54.1 billion by 2016, not to mention those railway and airport projects ongoing in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, Kuwait, or Qatar. Based on these reasons, the 14th edition of Hardware+Tools Middle East 2013 once again took place in Dubai due to its great investment attraction. Co-located with Automechanika (a show for industrial components), its scale this time looked bigger and better. During the 3-day exhibition from June 11 through 13, over 200 exhibitors from all over the world came together at Dubai World Trade Center. China was the biggest national exhibiting delegation this year, including more than 10 fastener related exhibitors in the group like Ningbo Haixin Hardware Co., Ltd., Lianyungang Xingyi Fasteners Co., Ltd., and Ningbo Anchor Fasteners Industrial Co., Ltd. In addition, other exhibitors from Taiwan, Germany, India, Italy, Turkey, UK, France, and UAE all had their presence to display their latest hardware and tools products. India Pavilion was a new addition to the show, which attracted several inquiries onsite. Aimreach Enterprises Co., Ltd. and Torque-Tech Precision Co., Ltd. within Taiwan Pavilion also participated to seek target buyers in anticipation of grasping the chance in the recovering global economy. Lots of exhibitors deem this show as the touchstone for entering Middle East market. Visitors were mostly distributors and traders from the Middle East or GCC countries including Iran, Oman, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and UAE. According to the onsite observation of Fastener World Magazine, buyers in the Middle East showed different requirement for quality or price. It is not to say that the lowest price or the highest quality can get the order. It depends on the actual needs. The recovering economy may be observed from the uprising skylines in Dubai with many magnificent building construction projects ongoing. The demand for fasteners and tools is thus also expected to grow. The show management expresses an optimistic view of the current conditions and wishes this show can be a quick, convenient, and effective business platform connecting exhibitors and visitors.
