Flexible buttress manufacturer Severstal-metiz (a family of the Russian Severstal Steel) successfully passed certification in the Voronezh laboratory of welding (a branch of Research Center "Mosty" in University of transport construction).
The results of complex researches are positive. The buttress with ceramic rings is recommended for application at manufacturing and at installation of steel reinforced concrete span structures of municipal and pedestrian overpasses, bridges, and trestles. The certificate confirming quality of "Severstal-metiz" products allows the increase in volume and delivery of fastening products. The results are valid for three years.
“This certificate plays an important role for further development of the company. Customers mark out their presence as one of the basic conditions for making orders. The quality of fasteners confirmed with the certificate testifies the stable and high level of our products. Absolutely, it is a powerful argument in relations with customers,” comments General Director Oleg Veter of Severstal-metiz Group.
Earlier the buttress successfully passed checks in the testing laboratory of Research Center "Most" and in an institute of electric welding named after E. Paton of National Academy of Sciences, Ukraine.
The delegation of Severstal-metiz took part in the ceremony of an overground pedestrian crossing opening on Tallinn highway in St. Petersburg. The event took place with the assistance of regional authorities and contractors. Severstal-metiz took the direct part in construction .
The crossing construction began in 2011. It's an arch connecting two sides of the Tallinn highway, fastened to a longitudinal girder by steel shrouds. The crossing place is chosen not casually: there is a large shopping center on this section of road and it is necessary to provide safety access through traffic area. The pedestrian overpass over the Tallinn highway for Severstal-metiz is one of the pilot designs regarding advancing of Italian "Radelli" on the Russian market. Specially for this  shroud crossing at factory in Gardone (Italy) has manufactured 16 shroud elements - locked-coil ropes in diameter of 25.0 mm with special anchors clutches. Delivery and installation of shrouds passed in the planned terms, as installation which made engineers of Severstal-metiz under the direction of the Italian colleagues.
The experience in a construction of crossing through the Tallinn highway, allowed our engeenering group to declare itself in the Russian market of tenzostructure solutions (solutions in sphere of designing, a technical support, manufacturing of hanging systems). Now the group works in several directions. One of the perspectives is participation in implementation of the target federal program “Development of the North Caucasian Federal District for the period till 2025,” which means construction of some bridges in the region. The design documentation on shrouds to the pedestrian overpass in Nalchik is already prepared, works on installation will begin in the nearest future,” comments General Manager Oleg Veter of Severstal-metiz.
