In spite of the coup in Thailand, so far the fastener industry remains unaffected. Taiwanese steel plants including Tycoons and Rodex have plants in Thailand, but they state that the coup did not impact their operation. They will keep a close watch on the development of the coup.

Tycoons Worldwide Group (Thailand) sits in the heavy industrial zone in suburban Bangkok, which is a 3-hour drive from downtown. Tycoons reports that everything is calm and operation is normal. It says that political fluctuations in Thailand in recent years has not yet interfere with industrial operations.

Rodex's Thailand plant is located in the bonded area in suburban Bangkok, which is an hour drive from downtown. Likewise, Rodex reports that operation is intact and normal. Rodex's monthly capacity is 1,500 tons, and one third of that comes from the Thailand plant. Benefited from the recovery in Europe, orders volume of the Thailand plant is stable.
