Taiwan Fastener Trading Association (TFTA) gave a meaningful and educational event on May 9th to visit plants in northern Taiwan, which successfully attracted the attendance of over 90 association members. Following the success of a seminar held in central Taiwan in the beginning of this year, TFTA continues to organize a series of activities and events for members.

Before the advent of hot summer, President Josh Chen of Yung King Industries and TFTA Northern Dist. Chapter had visited two automotive fastener makers in northern Taiwan- “Fontec Screws” and “Hsin Jui Hardware”, which are excellent in company scale, facilities, technology/quality management, and staff training, inviting them to be the hosts of the plant visit this time. During the visit, the two host companies were enthusiastic to welcome all guests with nice visiting arrangement and schedules praised by all attendees. They also worked hard preparing cuisine and transport shuttle to support TFTA, making it an absolutely great plant visit.

Quality Guardian & Tech Innovator- Fontec + Hsin Jui Make All Attendees Impressed (大題) It is easy to find that these two companies have similar features like the insistence on quality control, self-improvement of techniques, planning of manufacturing process, and accurate positioning in the market. If you don’t know them, no worries, Fastener World can provide you with the most complete introduction.

Fontec Screws

Fontec Screws has production lines mainly for making customized screws, special hollow rivets, and special screws used in automotive, furniture, and electronics industries. It has a Linkou-based plant (Taipei) of about 22 thousand sq m. as well as plants in Dongguan(Guangdong) and Taican (Suzhou) of China. With techniques, experience, and powerful manufacturing ability, it can offer customers the safest purchasing quality.   Under the leadership of Mr. Lance Lin, the 2nd generation of Fontec, the company has been certified by ISO 9001 and TS 16949, successfully increasing the awareness of Fontec in the automotive fastener market. Fontec has been the fastener supplier of Ford and promises to step further in addition to the current business in Europe and USA.

Hsin Jui Hardware

Molds are the heart of manufacturing, so the mold developing dept. in Hsin Jui is a strong backup of the company as well as the most important advantage for product diversification. “Once you submit the drawing, we can definitely make it.” Hsin Jui, the expert in multi-stroke cold forged parts, supplies special parts for automotive, motorcycle, construction industries worldwide, which is considered the best multi-stroke cold forged automotive fastener manufacturer in northern Taiwan.

The Gueishan, Taoyaun-based modern plant of about 18 thousand sq m net floor was activated in 2013. Half a year ago, when Fastener World Magazine was invited to visit the new plant, we saw the production, eco-friendly facilities, quality inspection, and manufacturing flow were all neatly arranged. Now the capacity of the plant has been fully utilized, generating the double growth in revenue as initially expected.

This plant visit made several members come up with reflection upon the critical point of competitiveness enhancement. Clean plants with good ventilation, professional teams with loyalty and spontaneity in divisions are what visiting members appreciate the most. They all thanked TFTA for giving them such a meaningful event and were satisfied with the hospitality of Fontec and Hsin Jui. Such an event is believed to not only boost the development of Taiwan fastener industry, but also create a closer interaction within the industry.
