In order to facilitate the development of the domestic intelligent automation industry and increase the added value of manufacturing and healthcare, the Industrial Development Bureau of Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs arranged specially factory visits for several different industry sectors, which included the factory visit to Sheng Fung Screws on August 25 for the demonstration of intelligent automated production, conveyance, and feeding systems. During the visit, 41 reps from 11 companies such as Taiflex Scientific, Kenmec Mechanical Engineering, and EverRobot Precision Machinery were invited. In addition to sharing its achievements, these visiting companies were also invited to see the screw factory onsite, for making them further understand what benefits and efficiency automation can bring to SMEs as well as encouraging them to upgrade their own manufacturing.

Sheh Fung General manager Kent Chen said that nearly 100% of screws from Sheh Fung with over 40 years of company history can be made by the company itself and it is very difficult to find another company in the market that can produce almost 100% screws items it can provide. Facing the price-cutting competition around the world and in order to ensure good quality of every screw shipped from Sheh Fung’s factory, Sheh Fung has established a vertical production process from heading, threading, heat treating, to electroplating, coating, and packaging.

Supported by resources from the IDB (MOEA) and Sheh Fung’s factory, the demonstration this time was given in anticipation of integrating software with intelligent hardware and strengthening the technical power of the intelligent automation industry, making Taiwan a new exemplary country in Asia Pacific for intelligent applications and service.
