“How to make improvement?” is a question that often comes to the mind of President Hsiang Wu of FMWT Co., Ltd. and that later made him expand business from wire to the design of machines for environmental protection. According to Mr. Wu, new ideas must be introduced into the conventional industries, as the current treatment for industrial liquid waste requires complicated procedures. If one machine can deal with each procedure, not only the factory space, time and labor force can be saved, but also the manufacturing cost can be greatly reduced through reusing the liquid after processing. With such an innovative spirit, Mr. Wu successfully developed the new Automatic Sludge Discharging & Recycling Separator recognized with 4 product patents and 1 invention patent.
No Consumable is Needed, Thus Keeping the Waste to Its Lowest Level
The filtering device by FMWT is particularly designed for the industries which may cause heavy pollution. It has been successfully applied to relevant fastener industries so far and is also expected to be applied to more different industries in the near future. The special and patented mechanism allows the machine to keep in a lightweight and compact size and can be also customized to separate different items as per industry’s request. The device functions completely based on physical principles, which is to separate impurities from oil and water with different specific weights by utilizing the strong centrifugal force. The procedure does not require any chemical additives or consumables. The only byproduct which has to be processed is the sludge with the water content of less than 45%. All these advantages make the device one of the best instruments to manufacturing.
The reduction of industrial waste saves the processing cost, and the oil & liquid waste can be also recycled for reuse. A plant equipped with automatic sludge discharging & recycling separator can be always kept with cleanliness and the waste produced can be also reduced to the lowest level, which can not only fulfil the social responsibility and image of a company, but can also promote the value of its products. President Wu said, “Every FMWT machine can be customized according to where it is going to be placed in the customer’s plant and what kind of waste it is going to process, so customers don’t have to worry about whether the machine is applicable or not.”
Mr. Wu also noted, “Cometh the hour, cometh the man. If one can transform the concept into a real product (or machine) with design correspondent with latest market trends and know what the problem is, then the problem can be solved in the end.” With years of experience in manufacturing and the background of mechanical engineering, President Wu has successfully had his ideas realized onto the company’s products. The new automatic sludge discharging & recycling separator is quite easy-to-use in practical applications and is also a product which he has invested a lot in developing.
Future Goal: The R&D of AI Technology-Integrated Machines
FMWT is now working with MIRDC and the green energy developing industries supported by Taiwan’s MOEA and in the future it will focus on the development of advanced products integrated with AI technology, capable of sending alerts in advance or analyzing data, in order to create better design. President Wu looks more like an inventor rather than an entrepreneur, as the machines he has developed continue to be hailed as the industry’s sensations and he is also recklessly making effort to improve the design of his machines. He said, “Our hardware and equipment used in the industry continue to be updated and upgraded, so when we dedicate ourselves to the R&D of machines, we must also make sure that we do not lag behind.”
