Due to the reduction of business days in February, the export amount of Taiwan in February reached below 90,000 tons, creating the lowest record since last year. However, it was over 10% higher than the same period of last year with average unit price of USD2.638/kg. The performance was not as good as expected. It dropped by 1.37% from January and has kept low for 4 months since last October. However, professionals in the industry think the export of Taiwan would return to the level of 100,000 tons. So far, the selling price for export of automotive fasteners is about USD2.37/kg while the price of small screws is USD1.4/kg due to the reduction of orders.
