Fastener World Brings Real-time Snapshots from the Fair
"International Hardware Fair Cologne" held in Germany every two years opens its gates again to domestic and foreign exhibitors and industrial professionals after the postponement in 2020 due to the pandemic. This Fair opens on September 25 at Kolnmesse (address: Koelnmesse GmbH, Messeplatz 1, 50679 Koln).
Fastener World is at F070/G071 of Hall 10.1.
The 4-Day Event Provides Enough Time for Interaction Among Exhibitors and Visitors
The 2022 Fair opens from 09/25-27 (time: 09:00-18:00) through 09/28 (time: 09:00-17:00). The organizer opens Halls 3, 10, and 11. According to the organizer’s statistics, there are 1,411 German and international companies come to exhibit this year, which are mainly from the industry sectors of hand tools/power tools, construction & furniture fittings, fastener & fixings, factory equipment, products for industrial use, DIY & relevant services for industrial purposes, etc.
Taiwanese companies and exhibiting groups are also present to demonstrate their latest hand tools, aftermarket tools, gardening tools, relevant industrial tools, sockets & wrenches, and many other hardware products. Their original design and competitive performance of products also amaze lots of visiting buyers.
In addition to the main exhibiting area, the organizer has also arranged the “DIY Boulevard” with 60 companies participating in presenting their latest and most innovative DIY products. During the Fair, industry professionals and those from corporate management have been invited to give their thematic sessions, making the Fair this year become not only a place to observe the newest products, technologies, and services from the industry, but also a platform for exhibitors and visitors to get a clear picture of the current industrial needs and trends.
Various Innovations Featuring Eye-Catching Characteristics
This year, with more European, American, and Asian countries opening their borders and loosening up their immigration policies, our staff onsite deeply feels on the first day the high interest and enthusiasm of hardware-related manufacturers, distributors, purchasing reps, and industry professionals to meet new and existing collaborative partners face to face, look for business opportunities, and develop markets.
Fastener World’s staff onsite also observed at the Fair many market trends for future industrial development which are especially focused by the industry this year, such as energy saving, carbon emission reduction, environmental protection & sustainability, multiple applications, etc. For example, many hardware & tools exhibitors’ product design demonstrates more efficient energy consumption or longer battery storage. Some products put emphasis on more ergonomic design with simplicity and convenience to achieve the comfort, convenience, and higher work efficiency. Some exhibitors focus on the multiple applications and flexibility of products (such as one single device which can be used for multiple purposes, portability, or the wireless connectivity, etc.), or reinforce the digital upgrade of their products to achieve more accurate control and the integration of data sources.
Printed Magazines Brought to the Fair /
Business Reps Express Strong Will to Purchase
In accordance with buyers’ various sourcing demands in different markets, our staff onsite takes a lot of recently released and printed copies to the Fair, which include “Fastener World Magazine, China Fastener World Magazine, Hardware & Fastener Components Magazine, and Emerging Fastener Markets Magazine.”
We also talked with several corporate purchasing reps coming to our stand asking for magazines on the first day and they told us that they currently are highly interested in purchasing Taiwanese products featuring high performance/price ratios, excellent design, and high quality and collaborating with these suppliers. They hope that through those printed copies received from Fastener World and our online B2B purchasing platform, they can understand more about superior products from suppliers based in Taiwan and other countries and establish closer collaboration approaches.
They also hope that through the collaboration with Taiwanese and other countries’ suppliers they can build up a more tenacious and integrated post-pandemic global industry supply chain.

At the Fair, our staff onsite also visited and met many German and European leading hardware and hand tools brands.
Many companies told Fastener World that they are very delighted to see the Fair gather industrial friends from different countries and they also met good old friends and new friends from Taiwan and Asia. They told us that they are very happy to see the whole industry take this opportunity to gather under one roof to interact with each other, share industrial intelligence, and even establish future collaboration and communication approaches.
