Special Rivets Corp. (SRC) is one of the top developers and manufacturers of full-line blind rivets, rivet nuts and high quality labor-saving riveting tools. They are also one of the largest rivet manufacturers in Asia. In addition to their China plant, they’ve opened a new plant in Thailand in 2022. They currently produce over 500 million blind rivets and 100,000 riveting tools per month. Over the past 40 years, they have sold to more than 150 countries and accumulated more than 700 customers worldwide.
Eyeing Thailand, Targeting 300 Million Local Blind Rivet Monthly Production
SRC sees the worth of Thailand Prime Minister's ambition to develop Thailand as the top manufacturing nation of automobiles in Southeast Asia. Plus, they have many clients who identify Thailand as a key market in Southeast Asia. Therefore, they have opened a new 45,000 square meter plant in Thailand to meet the increased demand for their products in the U.S., Europe, Southeast Asia and around the world. The new plant has 50% of area currently in use and has about 110 auto-forming machines which will be increased to 300. At this stage, they are aiming at a monthly capacity of 100 million pieces of rivets for the Thailand plant, and planning to increase to 300 million pieces of rivets in the future.
Anticipating U.S. Market Recovery and Local Sales Boost
SRC products are mainly sold to the U.S., Europe, New Zealand, Africa, Latin America and Southeast Asia, with the U.S. accounting for up to 30% of the total sales. As trade and economic ties between the U.S., Europe and Taiwan have grown in recent years, SRC is looking forward to exporting their products. With a fully automated warehousing and retrieval system, they can ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and quickly.
