The Combination of Industry and Fashion- TFTA Gives 2023 Taiwan Fastener Fashion Show

On May the 2nd, the day before Taiwan International Fastener Show 2023, Taiwan Fastener Trading Association (TFTA) partnered with the Department of Fashion Styling and Design Communication of Shih Chen University Kaohsiung Campus to organize an event and dinner gala at InterContinental Kaohsiung called "2023 Taiwan Fastener Fashion Show". This was TFTA’s first time trying to combine the fashion field with the traditional framework, and it was also the most refreshing event ever held by the fastener industry in Taiwan. Many important guests from the fastener industry, including European Fastener Distributor Association (EFDA) President Andreas Bertaggia, several former TFTA chairmen & consultants, and representatives from heavyweight companies in the industry were invited to the show.

To complete this fashion show challenge, several members of TFTA (including Yung King Industries, Spec Products, Gwo Lian Machinery Industry, Chun Kuan, Keep Fastener, Rexlen Corporation. Steel Stone, Co-Wealth Enterprise, Locksure, and Screwtech Industry) also took part in presenting their design artworks onstage. The whole fashion show incorporated many creative elements and showed the creativity and vitality of the fastener industry in Taiwan through the combination of different colors and fabric cutting and stacking. Even at the end of the show, TFTA Chairman Josh Chen led a number of members' general managers and chairmen to make an appearance as the show models, which also added a lot of fun to the event.

TFTA Chairman Josh Chen said in his opening speech, "The fashion show this time is not only a presentation of Taiwan's creativity, but also a brand new attempt to combine industrial accessories with fashion. With the help of the co-organizer, Department of Fashion Styling and Design Communication of Shih Chen University Kaohsiung Campus, all the students and faculty of the show have been able to give more interpretation and imagination to the fasteners. Taiwan is the 3rd largest fastener exporter in the world. We welcome you to visit Taiwan during Taiwan Int'l Fastener Show postponed for 4 years and exchange with many members of TFTA, and wish our overseas guests a fruitful experience.”
